A guest opens the safe once on arrival and forgets about it until check-out. For the hotel, the safe is equipment that has to run for years without calls to reception: no flat batteries, no lost codes, no arguments about who opened it. The Indel B range starts from those three situations.

Batteries or mains power. The standard models run on four 1.5 V AA batteries. The Plug-in versions (Safe Top Open Smart, Safe 10 Smart, Safe 30 Smart) are powered from the mains through a certified 100–240 V external adapter. Routine battery changes disappear, and with them the hazardous waste to dispose of. Guest codes are kept in non-volatile memory, so they survive a power cut; a slot for a standard 9 V battery handles emergency opening. The adapter can be clipped to the safe or left free, so cables stay out of sight.

Who opened the safe, and when. Smart safes store the last 300 openings, read with a PC and an external data kit — a quick way to close a complaint. Service opening uses an electronic IB Card; emergency opening uses a mechanical key or the 9 V battery. Safe Drawer has a touch screen, a 125-opening memory and a master code.

What has to fit inside. Safe 30 Easy takes a laptop up to 15″ and has a steel outer body. Safe 30 Smart AC and Safe 35 Smart AC have an internal Schuko socket and two USB ports, so guests can charge a laptop or phone inside the safe. Every model has internal LED lighting except Safe Drawer.

The right shape for the furniture. - Front door (Safe 10 / 30 / 35 Smart): left or right opening is chosen when ordering and cannot be reversed later. - Safe 30 P Smart: the same features as Safe 30 Smart, with a manual knob instead of spring opening. - Safe Top Open Smart: opens from the top on a pneumatic piston — suited to drawers and low units. - Safe Drawer: a drawer with a black glass door and curved body, for rooms where the safe stays on show. - Safe 30 Easy: the best value for money, 4–6 digit code, right-hand door only.

Inner and outer dimensions for each model are in the data sheets on the safes page. If you are renovating or furnishing new rooms, choose the safe together with the furniture: the niche, the opening side and access to a socket are decided then, not after installation.
