Indel B minibars: technologies and design for hotels
An Indel B hotel minibar is chosen by cooling technology and by where it sits in the room: built into the furniture, on the countertop, on the wall, freestanding or as a drawer.
A compressor minibar has the lowest consumption and runs ultra-quietly. A thermoelectric minibar has neither compressor nor fans: it is completely silent (as stated on the manufacturer’s data sheet). Absorption is the previous generation, which Indel B no longer offers in the European Union.
The lines below are ordered by what hotels in Romania choose today. If you are not sure which line fits, we recommend the model by room type and energy consumption.

Two choices, two motivations
K Ecosmart: the efficient choice
- Compressor minibar with the lowest consumption in the Indel B range: 0.134–0.216 kWh per 24 hours.
- With an Energy Saver or a building automation system, the compressor switches on and off according to guest presence (Smart Mode). Without them, it runs in Timer Mode.
- Right for hotels with many rooms, where consumption adds up.
Breeze: the choice for quiet
- Thermoelectric minibar with no compressor and no fans: completely silent (as stated on the manufacturer’s data sheet) and free of vibration.
- The lightest and most compact thermoelectric line from Indel B; also recommended on cruise ships, where vibration is a problem.
- Right for rooms where the guest’s sleep matters most.
Compressor minibars
Ultra-quiet, with cyclopentane insulation and R600a gas, in the best energy classes on the market.
- Consumption
- 0.134–0.216 kWh / 24 h
- Noise
- 33–38 dB
K Ecosmart
(11)Smart efficiency. Compressor minibar with the Ecosmart system: with an Energy Saver or a building automation system (Smart Mode), the compressor switches on and off according to guest presence in the room; without them, it runs in Timer Mode. For the hotel: the lowest consumption in the Indel B range, and we calculate the payback of the replacement in the quote.
FRIDOM
(5)Design minibars. The Fridom line, designed by Massimo Mussapi, turns the minibar into a piece of furniture: five compressor versions, wall-mounted, countertop or freestanding, in Bronze or customised to the room. For the hotel: the minibar no longer needs a furniture niche and becomes part of the room design, in renovations and superior rooms.
Thermoelectric and drawer minibars
A heat pump with no fans and no compressor: completely silent operation and low impact.
- Consumption
- 0.263–0.647 kWh / 24 h
- Noise
- completely silent (stated on the sheet)
Breeze
(3)Compact and silent. The lightest thermoelectric line from Indel B, with no fans, sealed with epoxy resin and installable at any inclination; recommended on cruise ships, where vibration is a problem. For the hotel: right for small rooms and furniture with little space.
Drink T Plus
(7)Acoustic comfort. Thermoelectric minibar with a solid or glass door, net volume from 19 to 38 l. For the hotel: the thermoelectric alternative, with no compressor and no fans, in standard and superior rooms.
Drawer
(2)Built into the furniture. Drawer minibar, with a compressor (KD50 Ecosmart) or thermoelectric (TD50), built into the furniture and opened by pulling out. For the hotel: the minibar stays out of sight and products are taken from above, from the drawer, with no door to open.
Absorption minibars
Absorption — the previous generation, still installed in many hotels
No compressor and no moving parts. It uses four to six times as much energy as a compressor minibar of the same capacity.
Indel B no longer offers Drink Plus and Iceberg in the European Union; the catalogue marks them for markets outside the EU. For the hotel: if you have them in your rooms, calculate the saving from replacing them with K Ecosmart.
Calculate the replacement saving →- Consumption
- 0.575–1.211 kWh / 24 h
- Noise
- not published in Indel B sheets
