Until now, housekeeping teams had to unscrew, open and refill every dispenser by hand. Refillution replaces this labour-intensive work with a standardised, automated process: a 300 ml bottle is refilled in a few seconds, and one 10 l SmartCube replaces 34 dispenser bottles.

Certified hygiene, no risk of contamination

The robust brushed stainless-steel housing is easy to clean, and a medical-grade peristaltic pump keeps air and liquid completely separate. Non-return valves prevent backflow and dripping. The Rhine-Waal University study showed that the source of contamination is the pump, not the refilling. The system is also independently confirmed by TÜV SÜD Industrie Service, against ISO 22716 (good manufacturing practice for cosmetics) and the batch traceability requirements of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009.

Batch Tracing — a new standard in the hotel industry

Using Data Matrix code technology, established in the pharmaceutical industry, every product leaving production receives an individual, globally unique code. During refilling, Refillution automatically scans this code, so that only the right product goes into the right dispenser — documented and traceable at any time. Refillution was a finalist for the German Sustainability Award.
